Home cookin' here we come! Well, almost home cookin' that is. I live about 2 hours away and was in town for leisure, and wanted to check out a filipino restaurant because I was super craving it. This place was the closest to where our hotel was, about 15-20 minutes away, so off we were. I checked out the previous reviews about this place just to get an idea, and some of it was true. It is on a busy street, but there's parking right in front of the building. The place was totally empty except for 1 table, but it's not super huge, that didn't bother me. It was kinda hawaiin themed, but the Phillippines is an island, so whatev. The lady who took our order was filipina, and friendly. We ordered to go since we knew before hand that supposively it took awhile to get your food. They said only 15 minutes, so we walked down the street to a pub to have a beer. Ordered dinaguan, kare-kare, and lumpia shanghai. Everything was pretty tasty except the kare kare. They gave bagaon (or however you spell it), and that wasn't that great of flavor. Plus the meat was very sparse. They didn't give us rice, and said it normally didn't come with, but we went back in to ask about it, and they gave it to us the "one" time. How can you give filipino dishes w/no rice??? Who cares if it's to go! The dishes were under $10 which worked for me, but I believe the other things were a little pricier. The dinaguan def. didn't compare to homemade, but I for sure ate ALL of it. I would recommend this place, and probably would go back for seconds!
