Weil, K DC - Chiropractic Works

Review Date: 11/28/2009

This was the most unprofessional medical professional I've ever visited. I just moved to this area and went there in an effort to find a local chiropractor to treat my lower back. He wanted x-rays and even though I was in agony, I agreed, thinking he would treat it after he saw the film. Instead, he wanted me to come back the next afternoon after he had looked at my pictures. I went back as asked but found I was expected to sit through a kindergarten-style lecture on the benefits, etc. of chiropractic. My pain was worse than before and it was all I could do to last the 45 minutes plus. I did so, still thinking I would be treated soon. Instead, he put all the patients there in separate rooms to discuss "financial arrangements" and "course of treatment" with someone else.

I have excellent insurance but I soon realized he didn't treat me earlier because he wanted to check it out first. I had paid out-of-pocket for the x-rays and intended to pay for an adjustment if I had even gotten one! The "lecture" had been over for at least an hour and I decided I had rather drive the distance back to the doctor who had been treating me rather than deal with someone this arrogant and uncaring.

As I was leaving, I saw the person who was supposed to be talking to me putzing around the waiting area. I have no idea what she was doing and didn't wait to find out.

He has the money I paid for x-rays but won't be getting any more from me. I have no idea if he is a good chiropractor or not but I left with the feeling I was just a number with a dollar sign and not a real person to him.
