My husband and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Indiana. We wanted to have lunch at a locally owned restaurant, not fast food. The restaurant was very easy to find with ample parking. When we walked in we were surprised to see almost every table taken. We were greeted and shown to our table promptly. The menu had a lot of great looking choices. We decided on a vegetable pizza and salad. As we were waiting for our salads our server brought out a baguette of bread in a paper bag. We were informed that they make their own bread every day. It was wonderful and I could have eaten the whole loaf myself. Our salads were the perfect "dinner" size with not too much dressing. The pizza dough was freshly made and the toppings were very good with just the right amount of cheese. I wish I could have tried some other dishes given the fact that what we were eating was so good. My only complaint was the service was a little slow, but given the fact the the place was pretty full and more people were coming in made it o.k.. This seems to be a "hot" local place to eat. Overall the food was great and if we are ever in Mt. Vernon again the 9th Street Grill we be on our list for dining.
