This review is a little late. Back in 2007 when I owned a 1990 Honda Civic with manual transmission, I was having problems changing from 1st to 2nd gear. I first went to Cottman Transmission in Northampton and they said I needed my clutch cable adjusted, but they said the cable coudn't be adjusted anymore so I needed a new one. They said it would cost me about $200 total for the part and labor. Luckily they didn't have the part so I didn't leave my car there as planned.
I stopped by Route 9 Auto about 10 minutes before they closed just to ask them how much they would charge to put in a new clutch cable. The mechanic took my car into the shop, adjusted the clutch cable, then test drove my car. They charged me $10. I sold my car about one year later and I didn't have any problems with the clutch.
Cottman inspected my car for free so they are worth checking out.
