This pains me to write, but I went to dinner at the 5-8 tonight and the service was absolutely terrible. There was about a 20 minute wait to get a table (seat yourself - no hostess???). So I got a beer while I waited. Let me be clear, i have no problem waiting for a table. Once I got a table, I sat there for 20+ minutes waiting for a waitress to acknowledge me! In the mean time, other tables that sat down after me were served. Finally I stopped a waitress and politely asked, "can I get someone to take my order?". She said to me "oh..I thought you were being helped because you have a beer". I told her I wasn't and she went on to serve me the rest of the night. So if she thought I was being helped, who was supposed to be helping me? Was it another waitress's table? If that was the case why didn't tell me she would get MY waitress? Needless to say, she lied to me. While I waited 20+ minutes for a waitress I noticed that three waitresses were walking around aimlessly and not really serving anyone. I also noticed there was no one in charge! Three waitresses and one bus boy...on a Friday night. No manager. So why does it pain me to write this review? I have to admit the burger was damn good! I am going to struggle with myself on whether or not I want to deal with the mickey mouse service just to enjoy a great burger.
