Bank has the ability to present itself as a local consumer advocate and partner, but the reality is that they rely on relationships with out-of-state business partners to render product services. Result is that you may experience inordinate delays in completing transactions such as mortgage loans, which they typically process to Sun Trust. Bottom line is that they are no different than any other Greenfield institution in rendering consumer services. If you decide to do business with GCB be careful to follow-up on a weekly basis if they have not completed your transaction.
