We stayed here a couple of months ago for our wedding and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The absolute worst service we have ever received. The front desk clerks ruin the beautiful ambience of the hotel with their rude and completely unprofessional attitude. I have never been so embarrassed for my family and friends. I have heard nothing but disgust from every single one of them that had contact with the front desk clerks. They used profanity in front of customers, complained about having to do their job, and acted as though you were bothering them when you had a question or needed to get upstairs. They messed up my husbands room and demanded the room be paid in full the very second you check into the place. I have stayed at far better hotels and every single place I have ever stayed held the credit card until you checked out and charged the credit card then. They also mislead the parking price. Upon arrival my husband and I were advised there was a $40 valet in and out fee per guest and vehicle. They told us this was a one time fee which we felt for staying their for 2 days w/2 cars was more then reasonable. Upon leaving the hotel they told us it was a per day per car fee and charged almost another $200.00. If I was going to be screwed over in such a manner as my friends and family were (considering the treatment) we would have just paid more money and stayed at a nicer hotel in the loop.
It is really sad that they don't believe in good customer service because this hotel has a great location, amazing views, and my husband and I want to make sure to add the valet drivers and bell hops were the only nice employees we had contact with. If the front desk and reservations employees acted in the same manner the stay would have been much better. This isn't only my husbands and my perceptions. My bridesmaids, groomsman, uncle, aunt, and grandparents were just as disgusted and treated just as poorly.
You get what you pay for, go for quality, and go somewhere else until their staff can learn hospitality. I don't look to have my butt kissed when I go places but I do except courtesy and professionalism.
