This review is ONLY about their martial arts program and customer service. The facility looks fine, but I don't attend or use those.
I was informed that there were younger age classes at this YMCA for martial arts, specifically classes for children under 5. After haggling with the disinterested and abrupt individual on the phone I was allowed to pre-view the program before paying for it. Boy was I glad I did. When we arrived we were told children under 5 weren't welcome at the class, but were still allowed to watch. The class was on one side of the basketball courts, with balls bouncing around the students and the noise level was so loud that the teachers had to scream at the kids to be heard. There were over 15 children at the class, and the teachers did very little in the way of personal attention, having to read their names off of a role call paper to know who they were. The cost is cheep, and unfortunately, so is the instruction.
