What can I say? A 1950's-style eatery, good food, great ice cream, great service, and cute waitresses. The owner remembers everyone's name, and trains his staff to do the same. Once after soccer practice on a Wednesday night, I pulled up with my two daughters just as the owner was getting into hs car to leave. The place was closed. He got out, and insisted on getting my kids their ice cream ("We can't forget Pam") on the house Very possibly the friendliest place on earth.

They get a lot of locals, which is always a good sign. They make a remarkable breakfast. Good coffee. Not a week goes by but that my daughters don'tdemand on a trip to Shelly's.
