My right leg has been slowly atrophying for the past 20 years, coincidentally after a pounding on my head by a large client, and then a pull on my neck resulting in whiplash from a small client in a behavior program where I worked . I went to my doctors, telling them what had happened and asking for help because I could feel that I was developing a limp. They couldn't see it, and did not acknowledge that a problem had occurred until they saw me 10 years later for an EMG, and wondered what had happened to my leg. ( I tried to get help unsuccessfully for about 5 years, was on workman's comp. for 3, and finally decided to ignore it as much as possible, because doctors (all types and specialties) could not help me. This accident created a limp, my leg looked concave on the right over the gastrox (sp?) muscle and I had problems walking, sometimes resulting in falls. I asked many doctors for their opinions as to what I should do, and their reaction was "I don't know why this is happening, but at this rate you will end up in a wheelchair." I fell very badly in January of 2009, and began to lose the little ambulation ability that I had left as well as the ability to think clearly. When my dad suggested that I visit his chiropractor, I was extremely cynical but felt that I had nothing to lose. I saw Dr. Trevens 2x the first week, and after the second visit, my thoughts began clearing, and I could feel myself walking evenly on both legs. Within a month my right leg began growing muscle where it had been atrophying, and the concave spot has filled out. Everything is not perfect yet, but my body is well on its way to healing itself, and the only difference was going to Dr. Trevens for upper cervical chiropractic techniques. I would recommend Dr. Trevens and upper cervical chiropractic techniques to be useful for everyone without reservation.
