I have been going to the Eagle (in New Hope) for 20 years. Since it was taken over by the people from the Eagle in Warminster a few years ago, it has improved 120%. It is a real place for locals, at times, like you would see on the Travel Channel.
The servers are always friendly as is the atmosphere; sandals & tee shirt comfy. Their salad bar is okay, not as many choices as in Warminster, probably due to space limitations, but it's always fresh.
A hearty breakfast menu is offered 24 hrs a day, lunch is good, and nightly dinner specials, including the two soups included in the salad bar (all day) come an interesting variety of choices. Their soups are very good, taste home made leaving your tummy & spirit content.
I agree with another review that some of the standard dishes taste canned, sometimes even flash back to TV dinners. On a high side, the french fries are really good- if they get to you while still hot.
A personal complaint is the cooks are heavy on the salt, pepper and hot spices. I feel the customer should be able to controll this according to preference. Another wish would be for more fresh fruit options.
So, for a fast meal, often with unintended entertainment by the friendly locals, the Eagle works. If you are feeling let down, order some of their very yummy baked goods and you will leave happy!
