It is Friday, October 16, 2009, 9:30 PM and I just tried to order a delivery from Fraydo's Pizza. When I called Fraydo's for a delivery, the man who answered the phone rudely told me I lived past their cut-off area (even though the internet says they're only 4 miles away) and hung up in my face. He didn't even ask me if I'd like to place a pick-up order.
I suspected that he may not have understood the address correctly because he was in such a hurry or the address may have been wrong online, so I immediately called back to either verify their delivery area or try to place a pick-up order before closing. Since I'm not from the area, I reasonably had to ask questions about how to find Fraydo's location. The employee was so rude and impatient that all he told me was they're by a McDonalds and nowhere near the interstate in a very irritated tone. When I tried to explain that I needed directions because I'm not from Birmingham, he didn't elaborate any further. I stated, "Wow, you're being really rude when all I want are directions to your store." He immediately hung up in my face for the SECOND TIME.
I would not recommend Fraydo's to anyone I know. It appears that their employee was in a big rush to leave on a Friday night even though they don't close until 10 PM, and he quickly took his frustration out on a new customer.
I usually enjoy supporting locally-owned businesses (especially in this economy), but Fraydo's just lost my support thanks to their rude, impatient, unfriendly employee. I wouldn't want anyone that unprofessional anywhere near my food, and especially not if his attitude was indicative of the general atmosphere of the restaurant. I totally lost my appetite and Fraydo's Pizza lost my business.
