the blue chip surprised me...i didn't expect much when i was in monticello for business...local people told me to go to the 'chip' as they called it at the local motel the 'blue inn'. the 'chip' is a cross between a sports bar and a casual restaurant. the night i stopped there was families w/kids, elderly couples, and a few constuction workers hanging-out at the bar. the servers were very nice to everyone! i enjoyed a a 'retro burger' (1/2lb burger w/mashed potatoes and gravy), too much to eat, i tryed to eat it all. like i said...i was surprised...i didn't expect an urban bar & eatery in a small town? but; i'm so glad that the nice folks of monticello pointed me in the blue chip's direction!
