Worst Professionalism by Local Caterer

My fiance and I had heard good things about this caterer and planned a sit-down with them regarding our upcoming wedding. We were to meet with the owner who was late for our appointment by at least 15 minutes. Everything went downhill after that...

We were promised an estimate of everything that we disussed within a 3 day period so that we could review and make our final decision as to who would cater our upcoming wedding. We had 2 other caterers awaiting our final decision. A week came and went with no contact. We called to check in and were advised that no single associate could assist us - we would have to await the info from the owner that we met with and that he would call us back that same day. Another week, a phone call and an email went by - STILL NO CONTACT and NO RETURNED COMMUNICATIONS!!!

We were then 3 weeks out from our sit-down and we called back a final time as a last resort. We were advised that the owner was available, but would not take our call, that our estimate had NEVER been worked on, and were met with MAJOR ATTITUDE because we dared address the concerns (done so very tactfully) that we had due to the fact that our communication efforts (to secure them as our caterer!!!) had never been returned. Needless to say, my fiance and I have retained a different caterer for our wedding.

In seeing how this family-owned business (where have the work ethics and integrity of the past gone??) treats their POTENTIAL CLIENTS, I will NEVER consider using them in the future. I can only imagine that once you signed a contract and put down a deposit, that they treat you even worse!!!!
