My husband and I stayed here in July when we went to Brimfield for the Antique Show. The room was okay but there was black slime hanging out of the shower head in the bathroom. We asked for another room, but the hotel manager, Michael ?Yasko?, informed us there were no other rooms available. He agreed to clean the shower and give us a discount for our inconvenience. He gave us a copy of the discounted bill so we could apply for a credit of $67 through Choice Hotels TOPS Direct Bill. When we contacted Choice Hotels, they contacted the Quality Inn and replied back to us that the hotel claimed there was no problem recorded in their file and they did not agree to a discount. We have the receipt in hand and will pursue the issue through the Better Business Bureau. I would advise anyone not to book through Choice Hotels Website and definitely not to stay at the Quality Inn (MA 169) at 478 Main Street in Sturbridge, MA. I cannot believe that the manager Michael could be so nice to our face and lie about the entire situation. I hope this is not the norm for business owners in Sturbridge, Massachusetts!
