"The town Sherman refused to burn." HA! He ignored it for the same reason that you should ignore it, there is nothing to it. There is more history and ambience in a rusted thimble than in the whole town of Madison. This little town is nothing but overhyped and overcommercialized. Sherman had bigger fish to fry and I am sure that you do as well - so avoid at all costs!
