As a parent of 3, count 'em, students (7th grade, 9th grade and 11th grade), I am proud of what the school has done for my kids. They get up in the morning wanting to go to school. They have learned to advocate for their education and their own learning styles. They relate easily and confidently with adults and other students. They are not worried about where to sit at lunch and want to get involved in supporting the school.
It is a small school, around 80 - 100 kids, with small classes and lots of personal attention given to the kids. The education provides in-class and many opportunities to learn outside the classroom. There are an unbelievable amount of extracurricular activities for students - theater, sports, drawing, martial arts, surfing, etc. The community is supportive of all students and it is those students that help protect this through their system of restorative justice.
A great school where I am completely confident that my child will receive an excellent education, graduate and go off to the college of their choice. After all, they truly enjoy the process of learning.
