My husband got a letter from Palisades stating he owed over $6400 on a loan from 2006! 3 years old and this is the first we hear?! We had since refinced our house, bought brand new cars and paid off all bills and loans. The loan that they are refering too was paid off in a refinance in 2006. We have the proper documentation to fight this, but after reading this, Palisades will be getting it every which way. I intend to mail, certify mail to both address' (physical and P.O.) and Fax all documentation. Wish me luck!
