When I went to check in the staff was very nice but they thought my reservation was lost, I kept telling her the correct way to spell my last name. All along she was mispelling it after I told her atleast 3 times which way it was. Anyway, problem was resolved. The room was very spacious and perfect. I went with friends and boyfriend for my 21 birthday on 6th street. We had to take a cab to 6th since it is across the lake. We ordered room service for both dinner and breakfast (since I've been to Austin so many times during college and eaten at local places) and the hotel food was very tasty. Since I was celebrating my 21st and so was another friend, we got a little loud when we got back to the hotel. Security got called but they were very nice and respectful. We shut the party down and let me just tell you....those beds are amazing! When I woke up the next morning it was so beautiful looking out at Town Lake with breakfast in bed. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning to stay again this year for Halloween! However....you will pay double since it is so close to the everything, but well worth it, especially if its your first time in Austin.
