We have stayed at the Charlemont Inn. The Inn's owners made us feel right at home and even after the kitchen closed, made up hamburgers and fries for my husband and daughter. The food is fresh and homemade. Our weekend was complete with music, laughter and the making of new friends, that we just had to return for a long weekend. We returned the following month for Memorial Day weekend. Charlotte and Linda were fantasic catering to our every need. We did experience some strange activity in our room the 2nd time we stayed there. We believe that Elizabeth played a trick on myself by hiding my license in my suitcase, after I remembered placing it on the dresser, and hubby was woken up to the adjourning door to the shared bathroom(after being latched shut) around 3:30am by some unknown source. He sat up in bed and noone was there. Needless to say, my daughter and I slept threw this. I never felt afraid or threatend. We plan to return to the Inn on July 4th weekend to eat, drink and be happy playing pool in our P.j.s and listening to the wonderful bands that play there every weekend. If you ever are on the Mohawk Trail, make sure to stop in and have a meal as the food is outta this world and the inn's emplyoees make you feel that you are the only customers there, with their dedication to your comfort. We will always return to see what new friends (live or deceased) that we will make.
