I've been a local for 30 years and this place has seen its share of different owners and staff. Years ago I avoided this place like the plague because of the food was terrible and there were always shady people lurking around it making you feel like you're gonna get mugged just walking by it. But now It's under new ownership and has been remodeled a bit and the thugs are all gone so I decided to give it another shot after all these years. After getting take-out a few times I have to admit that the food was really good. The strombolis are some of the better ones I've sampled in the area and the specialty pizzas with the chicken, spinach, and mushrooms is one of my new favorites anywhere. And it's nice that they have a big selection of take-out beer. After a few months of ordering the quality has improved substantially and I decided to take a few buddies there for food/drinks and monday night football. We were all really impressed with the bar in the back known as the Pourhouse. It has a really nice feel to it with multiple flat panel televisions everywhere and a theme based on local sports. It was very clean and not a crowded place. There are a few big tables along the sides that are perfect for ordering a few pizzas and wings and having a few drinks (Not many places around like that these days). The older gentleman tending bar was quite entertaining and made you feel like you've been friends with him all your life. And when you finished your drink he'd have another ready for you before you set the glass down (Not like those city bars where it takes 5 minutes just to flag down the bartender). In all fairness I have to say this is a great place to take a date or some friends out to for a good time without shelling out alot of money or having to drive down to a mainline city bar and deal with the big crowds.
