This was an exceptional experience! Let me just say, don't judge a book by it's cover. The restaurant is ran by the owners, who are a husband and wife team. The owners were actually the ones who waited on us, and cooked our food. The atmosphere was unique, the people were friendly, and the prices were fabulous! And the food, mouth watering delicious!!! The fried pickles were excellent, the homemade chips were tasty, the steak bites melted in your mouth and fell apart, and the Monte Cristo sandwich was served with cheese oozing out of it! Everything was perfection, and we can't wait to go back. It was only about a 45 minute drive from West County, and worth every bit of it. Plus, there are plenty of cute little stores to shop at in the downtown district, or enjoy the scenery of the riverfront. We went for lunch, but they apparently have a night life as well. They also have outside patio seating overlooking the river. We would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, and will go back!
