If this is the Dr. Pannone (he would be about 40-45) and orginally practiced in Jersey City then this is the guy I would want to do my dental work. Ten years ago he did porcelin jackets on my four front teeth and they are amazing! I have been to several dentists and each and everyone have been surprised that they are not my own. Recently I went to a new dental group of 5 dentists with varying specialties and they all came and looked and were amazed even took pictures (no cost to me). The comment that he wanted to replace your silver fillings is good proventive medicine. Most of us had them put in when we were kids and they do not last forever and are not as good as the porcelin fillings, expensive yes but worth it. I had him replace mine 1 or 2 at a time when I could afford it and I have not regretted it. The silver filling were crumbling and falling apart. Whole dental care is very expensive it sure beats having to wear dentures and preventative care and maintenance is better then having to pay for the cost of an implant. Congrats to Dr. Pannone for continuing to do a good job! He is indeed a perfectionist. I am a nurse and would certainly not want to have anyone be rude to me but stand up for yourself but don't quit the dentist talk to him and tell him your expectations from he and his staff you might be surprised at the response. In this life you get what you pay for. I for one would not let anyone touch my porcelin jackets. I was told by many cosmetic dentists ( I did my homework before I had it done) that they will most likely need to be replaced in 10-15 years and it has been almost 10 and they still look unbelievable!
