Being a beer advocate, I'll concentrate on that aspect of their establishment. For local brewed beers in the Shenandoah Valley, you can not beat Cally's. Although I feel their beers lack the overall depth of Dogfish Head (a mighty comparison indeed), their creations are heads and tails better than all others in the valley to include Starr Hill, which seems popular in the area. Their Smokin' Scottish Ale and Nut Brown beers are very tasty and I was surprised on their Blackberry Wheat - I usually do not go for "berry" beers, but this one had the right balance of the taste of the berry yet still remaining true to a beer. I would recommend their sampler, an assortment of 6 of their brews in 2 ounce glasses that allows you to try each of their craft beers before purchasing a pint - I do so every time I go there. Atmosphere is upscale and inviting and the bartenders are great. While they do not bottle their beer for consumption outside of the premises, they do sell and fill growlers to bring their goodness home with you. I would recommend stopping by Cally's to any beer lover who prefers an actual beer with taste as opposed to guzzling Coors Light - they only serve their own in house brewed brands.
