This is AMAZING! We went last year for the final weekend.
It is a very family friendly event. My 18 month old daughter giggled & smiled the whole time! One of her favorite stories still is how she "met the Queen" and "rode camels with Mommy." Even some performers who would seem intimidating to a toddler brought a smile to her face.
The performers were very friendly and more than willing to have their pictures taken (alone or with us) and stayed in character. The buildings, ship and whole "town" is so impressive. The atmosphere is so relaxed and light-hearted.
We drove over 5 hours to experience this step back into time and are currently planning our return trip this year! It is worth every penny of the ticket price and more! If we lived closer we would visit more than once during its season.
Food was wonderful. The bread bowl soups were excellent especially on the crisp fall days...potato was our favorite but tried all. (We even purchased turkey legs to bring home for family who couldn't go!)
Don't forget to try the Mead from Valley Vineyard! I bought one small bottle for a gift and wished I had bought a case! Such a nice souvenoir and wonderful way to recall our visit. (We are bringing home more this year!)
Dress up and join the fun! This is a fun, safe and wonderful way to spend a weekend!
