Over the last 15 years, I had spent tens of thousands of dollars on the latest and greatest hearing aids, and found that they were all far from ideal. (I know that they will never replace your hearing, but they were too minimally effective.) They would fail while wearing them just a few hours, and they would plug your ear, so your hearing was even worse than not wearing them at all. I would have to send them away for weeks of costly repairs. Then they would quickly fail again. I even tried different well known brands - still problematic. I used driers, vacuum cleaners, etc.

In disgust with my high profile well known audiologist who seemed far from sympathetic, I tried Zounds. I have been happy with their reasonably priced aid, its performance, and any quick on-the-spot repairs I've needed, at no extra cost. I've had this aid for two years, and find their King of Prussia Mall staff responsive and caring. They're open long hours and very accessible. They don't try to upsell me every visit.
