Stay away from Healthspring: You pay them and when you need medical care they will not pay. You are in the hospital and then they decide you have to leave whether you are well enough or not. The same goes for nursing home and rehabilative care. Each month they get their premium while you pay out of your own pocket for nursing care. Which is sad if one parent has alzeimers and the other parent is unable to get around without the use of a special walker(which we had to pay for) to get to the bathroom or the table to eat. Healthsprings says they don't need medical care, while we pay almost $100 per day for one person to come in for 4 hours to babysit them and make they don't fall or burn the house down.
The children try to take of their families, work their full time jobs and man the parents household for cooking, cleaning, medicating and everything else.
