Lovely Museum: I had heard about the Hill-Stead Museum for years and finally got the chance to visit this winter. What a treat to be able to stare at Monet paintings and a very impressive art collection, without having to travel into a huge city museum. The home is in beautiful condition, filled with antique furnishings. Very interesting tour packed with information about the Pope family, especially Theodate who designed the home. I'd recommend the Hill-Stead to anyone interested in art, history, antiques, archtecture. It's a lovely way to spend your afternoon, and I'll go back more often now that I know they offer special events through the year.
