Excerpt: Came upon this place by accident. We had planned on going to Tiffanys Tavern but they are closed on Sundays.. IT was pouring rain and my boyfriend and I just ran to the closest place to eat that was open and it was Pines of Florence. Dont let the looks of this place fool you. It looks like a hole in the wall place but sometime those are the best.
SOO now to the food. We had the Lobster bisque and chicken and corn soup. The bisque was perfect but the chicken/corn soup had no chicken and was mainly a spicey broth. They give you delicous bread with oil dipping sauce and fill your sodas the second they are empty. The food was also very big with huge portions that you will be taking home with you. The spaghetti Florence was wonderful and had the BEST tomato cream sauce I have ever had.
We will be returning to this place and I love the way that we fell upon it by accident OHHHHH and the prices can't be beat.. We had to apps, sodas and two meals (that some came home with us) for a total of $34.00.. in Old Town that can't be beat
