Title: Great Sushi in a Modern Environment
Excerpt: We're from southern California where you can find a simple or fancy sushi place on every corner, and have had a little difficulty finding a good place in Boston.
Douzo's fresh fish is superb, we had the yellowtail and tuna sashimi and it melted in our mouths. For the less adventurous, their creative specialty rolls featuring cooked incredients like shrimp tempura, etc. offered a variety of combinations of very logical ingredients, and was not too funky. Their sauces that accompanied some of the rolls was delicious!
The most important thing we found about their rolls is that the nori (seaweed) and the rice were perfect....not dry and chewy, like we have found at some of the other sushi places.
Don't be intimidated or fooled by the modern design of the restaurant. The food is great, and so is the service which creates a nice atmosphere to have a meal. The prices were pretty much in line with most sushi places.
