We’re located at 1 Catamore Boulevard, off Route 6, a few minutes from Seekonk Square and the Providence River. Patients can receive hospice care wherever they call home. This can include a private residence or a facility such as a nursing home, assisted living, hospital or hospice center. We provide hospice care in Woonsocket, Johnston, Providence, Smithfield, Pawtucket, Cranston, Greenville, Bristol, Cumberland, Warren, Manville, Lincoln, Pascoag, and other communities within about 50 miles of our care center. Hospice Services in East Providence & Surrounding Areas Since 2003, Beacon Hospice in East Providence has provided a full range of in-home hospice services. We get to know each patient and their family, so we can build a care plan tailored to you. Hospice costs are typically 100% covered by Medicare, Medicaid, the Veterans Administration and most private insurance plans for eligible patients. Some of the hospice services we offer are: Nursing care Working closely with the patient’s doctor, our team of nurses helps manage pain and other symptoms, educates loved ones about the patient’s condition, and tends to wounds and other needs. Social Work Services Your hospice social worker offers emotional support and teaches patients and families ways to cope with sadness, grief and other feelings. We’ll also help with advance directives and end-of-life planning, so you have more time to spend with each other. Spiritual Support A hospice chaplain learns about the spiritual needs of the patient and caregiver and provides support that aligns with their beliefs and values. Therapy We’ll connect you with a physical therapist, speech therapist or occupational therapist if the patient needs this type of care. Volunteer Support Hospice volunteers have special training to serve in a variety of roles. Some share special talents like playing an instrument or creating art. Others run errands, give caregivers a rest or visit with patients. Bereavement Counseling A bereavement counselor supports you as you work through grief and other feelings.
