Meats such as beef and pork are purchased through local purveyors. In 2012, Tequila Mockingbird was one of 20 restaurants in the United States to receive certification for “expertise in Tequila and its culture” from the Consejo Regulador Del Tequila (Regulatory Council of Tequila). The bartenders at Tequila Mockingbird have attended “Tequila School” in the town of Tequila, in Jalisco, Mexico, and the entire staff has taken classes provided by the Mexican Government. We love Tequila and make every effort to share our unique knowledge with any and all interested guests. Tequila Mockingbird was founded in 1993 and has been a New Canaan favorite for 25 years.
