The modest and beautiful building that this theater is housed in was leased to The Columbia Civic Players, a local theater group, in the year 1987. What used to be a former town hall was then finally bought by this theater group and changed its name to The Ghent Playhouse in 2001. For the last many decades they have been entertaining the fans of performing arts in the neighborhood with their diverse range of programs and shows.
