Do not be misguided by the serene, white-washed exterior, for inside lies a trove of lowrider decor, essentially based on the car theme this bar depicts. Its tangerine-colored walls are stippled with steel steering wheels and amusing photographs of an array of cars. Low 'n Slow boasts a stunning line-up of innovative concoctions, each connected to a certain history of a car, each with a story to tell. Think 50 Merc which takes its name from Johnny Tapia’s 1950 Mercury convertible, or First Car, a cosmopolitan made in the memory of Orlando Martinez Jr. who bought his first car in 1983, which, incidentally, was also when the drink came into existence.
