The stores were operated as IGA Food Stores franchises until 1979, when the company began operating its stores under the name Redner's Markets. Redner's Warehouse Markets is a branch of the chain of family-owned and operated supermarkets in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York. The company was one of the first supermarkets in Pennsylvania to have electronic scanners, a recycling program and in-store pharmacies. It operates more than 40 warehouse markets and offers a range of food and nonfood items. Its range of products includes bakery, dairy, deli products, floral goods and frozen foods. Its stores offer various grocery and meat products, with additional products including health and beauty aids, natural and organic goods, seafood and general merchandise.
