   MorePastor Milton A. Hathaway is the son of Mrs. Reather P. Hathaway and the late Reverend J. Wallace Hathaway, former pastor of Grayland Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia. He is married to the former Sylvia Lewis of Quinton, Virginia, and they are the proud parents of four children, Rodney, Tamika, Randy ( deceased ) and Angela ; and four grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua, Julia and Alyvia. Our Senior Pastor's accomplishments are numerous. Among them, he is a former board member of Quinn Rivers Agency for Community Action ; former Executive Director of New Kent Community Development Corporation ; former president of the New Kent Civic League, and former chairman of New Kent Planning Commission He is a charter member of the Baptist Ministers Union of New Kent and Vicinity and co-founder of the New Kent Council of Churches, now the New Kent Clergy Association. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he majored in Urban Studies, with a concentration in Public Policy and Social Change. He is recipient of a W.G. Kellogg Foundation "Train-the-Trainer" Grant to study leadership at Virginia Tech, and is a 2001 graduate of the Harvard Divinity School's Summer Leadership Institute where he served two years on the executive board of the Black Student Alumni/Alumnae Network. Pastor Hathaway is also a retiree of the Virginia Air National Guard with 34 years service. In February 2004, Pastor and Dr. Sylvia Hathaway co-founded New Covenant Community Church ( NCCC ) located in New Kent County, where he serves as Senior Pastor.
