Owners George and Nicki Bazaco inaurgated this winery in 1983 and named it Doukenie, in the memory of George's beloved grandmother. The scenic drive towards the winery already sets in a perfect mood for the experience that comes next. Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio are some of their popular white wines and the Le Vin Rouge, Merlot, Syrah and the Cabernet Franc are must-try red ones. Their staff is highly knowledgeable and guests can rely on them for suggestions over pairing. When the weather is friendly, a tour of the vineyard is also offered. On colder afternoons, one can always sample their full-bodied wines and cheese in the warmth of the quaint fireplace inside the tasting room. Doukenie Winery is also a perfect venue for an intimate wedding.
