The Littlest Learners Child Development Center at Carroll Community College is dedicated to providing an intellectually stimulating environment that engages the children we serve. Our philosophy is one that supports each child's emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development while at our Center. We strive to teach the importance of exploration as well as the importance of play as a means to integrate math, science, language, literacy, music, art, and essential motor activities. Emphasis is placed on each child's individual learning style by an active, hands-on process that aids in the development of problem-solving and thinking skills. The Center follows the same Pre-kindergarten MSDE-accredited curriculum set forth by the state of Maryland. In addition, other theories/curriculum enhance the program. Students who complete the program are ready for kindergarten. The Center exceeds the state recommended child-to-teacher-ratio. Less
