We make no apology for strong preaching, sound doctrine, and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. In June of 1981 a new church was birthed in humble rental facilities at Potomac Senior High School. Heritage was founded by Pastor Michael E. Edwards and his family. God blessed in a great way and many were led to Christ and others were brought together to help this new work of God. In 1982 the Lord provided an opportunity to purchase an older church building that had been vacated. Though it was in need of repair and not in the "greatest location," God had placed Heritage right where He wanted them.
