Main Street really does "still exist" here. This is a place where neighbors become friends; there's never a shortage of fun things to do, and like everywhere, there's also pain and suffering that is seen and unseen. Del Ray UMC is right in the mix. We are grateful to God for the lives we've touched and for the ways those in the community have touched our lives. Our overall focus does go well beyond our neighborhood as we reach out across our metro area, our nation, and our world. We've discovered that people really connect with God and find meaning through the deep, enduring traditions of the Christian faith, while, at the same time, engaging those traditions in vibrant, exciting, and even creative ways. Our mission: "to seek God first, to serve Jesus Christ with love, and to make disciples of all, including ourselves" is what we're all about. We don't do things just because we've always done them, but we do do some things that we've always done because they change lives. We believe that this kind of life will overflow with the love of God and neighbor and make not only our Del Ray neighborhood, but the world, a better place to live.
