The center, offers a comprehensive, nationally accredited program of school-readiness training, fine and performing arts, recreation, health and nutrition, social development and field-trip enrichment specifically designed to prepare disadvantaged children to begin public school on equal footing with their classmates. Working with community-based agencies, including United Way, Opportunity, Inc has forged several alliances to provide, at no cost to our clientele, counseling and support in the following fields, among others: tax preparation, credit, homeownership, education/vocation, benefits navigation, nutrition, and parenting skills. Through these alliances, we also deliver access to health- care services, technical support, a low-cost food purchasing program and crisis assistance.
