The construction of the main building commenced in 1911 and was completed by 1912. Sections gave been added over the years with the church house being the most recent addition. The church's denominational name was changed from 'Color' to 'Christian' in 1954 and as of 2009 is the most recognized and largest Methodist church in Michigan. Less
