This verdant expanse is home to the tallest waterfalls in Wisconsin, Big Manitou Falls, which thunders down into the valley from a height of 165 feet (50 meters), its white waters churning and splashing against the rocks. The Little Manitou Falls is equally amazing, though much more docile. To experience lakeside recreation and fun, take the Beaver Slide Nature Trail that circles around Interfalls Lake, where you can take a swim near the beach area. The park comes with a mining and logging history, most of which is attributed to Martin Pattison, an early settler. By taking the picturesque Logging Camp Trail, you can marvel at the old logging camp owned by Pattison at the shores of the Black River that was constructed in the late 19th century.  Less
