   MoreThe New York Weightlifting Academy is the only gym strictly dedicated to olympic weightlifting in the Greater New York area. We hold our pride not only in our athletes, but our coaching staff, who holds USA Weightlifting certifications from Level 2 to Level 5. Our athletes lift on top equiment, and our gym is outfitted with high-quality Eleiko platforms, men's and women's bars, bumper plates and other top weightlifting equipment. We aim to foster an environment that is conducive to quality training and technical advancement. Our training approach is applicable to athletes of all ages, whether 15 or 65 years old, and training and programming is tailored to each athlete depending on skill level and athletic ability. Individuals who train with us come from a variety of backgrounds - from high school, collegiate, national and masters level athletics, or other fitness endeavors like Crossfit and Strongman. Many of our lifters choose to pursue Olympic weightlifting to further develop their speed, strength, and power in other competitive sports they participate in, such as football, wrestling, lacrosse, and track and field.
