The young child's knowledge comes from his personal interaction with the surrounding world, his direct experience with real objects, and from talking about experiences and ideas. Our preschool program creates a learning environment without paperwork or desks. Kindergarten readiness skills are integrated into each day's activities. Arts and crafts introduce children to the concepts of color, shape and space. Cooking and water-play exposes them to volume and measures. Manipulating play-dough, scissors, sand, crayolas and small blocks aid the development of fine motor skills needed for writing. Dramatic play and music encourage self-expression.
