Our Company Fisher Burton Company was founded in 1983 by Thomas W. Fisher and J. Richard Burton, Michigan State University graduates and registered landscape architects. Our staff works closely with landscape architecture firms, developers, municipalities, and builders to implement unique and creative outdoor environments. Fisher Burton has a reputation among both clients and vendors as a highly organized, systematic, and professional operation. Today, the company operates from its office in unincorporated Hawthorn Woods, on Gilmer Road just south of Route 176, where it also maintains a 15 acre shade tree-only nursery. Weekly planning and scheduling meetings provide structure and continuity from the bidding process all the way through final construction and maintenance.
