   MoreBirchwood is a not-for-profit 501C3 entity affiliated with the Missouri Baptist Convention: Blue River Assoc. and the Southern Baptist Convention. We run our own Free Clothes Closet (1st Saturday of each month) and Free Food Pantry (3rd Saturday of each month) in an effort to help stablize the neighborhoods in western Independence. These Ministries are part of our Rock Mission Center located in a house accross the street from the church building. We are also partners with the Independence School District through the "Twelve Blocks West" initiative and work to serve families in our neighborhood connected with the local schools. We believe that our efforts to give back to our community honor the mission of Jesus Christ, "[God] made him who knew no sin to be sin, that we might become the righteousness of God" (II Corintians 5:21).
