The gallery is dedicated to Birger Sandzén, a Swedish-born painter, who produced most of his artwork in America, where he worked as an art professor at Bethany College. His artwork includes many landscape scenes, including depictions of the American Old West, the Rockies and Yellowstone National Park. The gallery is home to a variety of artwork in oils, watercolors and prints by Sandzén, and works of art by other local and regional artists, as well as nationally recognized artists.
