   MoreGeneral dentistry,cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry, teeth whitening, implant crowns .  One of the technologies Dr. Cerniglia is most excited about is laser dentistry.  Dr. Cerniglia is one of only 6 dentists in the state of Louisiana to practice with the Lightwalker AT ( all tissue) laser.  This laser incorporates both Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths, which allows Dr. Cerniglia to perform hard and soft tissue treatment often with little to no anesthesia.  The Er:YAG laser uses energized water to prepare teeth without  the heat or vibration of the drill. This greatly dimishes the need for an injection.
