   MoreThe Phoenix Martial Arts Center teaches traditional Chen Style Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and is directly associated with the Chen family lineage of Chenjiagou. We host several workshops a year lead by members of the Chen family. Tai Chi classes are taught progressively, from the basics of standing meditation, Qigong exercises, to silk reeling and forms (open-hand and weapons). Self-protection applications are sometimes used to make the forms come alive by simulating real-world scenarios. Push hand meetups, open Tai Chi practitioners, are hosted 1-2 times a month at the Phoenix Martial Arts Center. Find us on facebook.com or meetup.com for next push hands event. The Phoenix Self Protection System is designed for non-martial artist to develop skills that will help them deal with and escape aggressive confrontations.
